The City of Ludbreg participates as a leading partner within the framework of two projects that have been signed up for Hungary — Croatia crossborder program. It is about the projects “Development of strategic cross-border cooperation between Letenye, Ludbreg and Prelog – DESCO” and project “Ecological Smart and Sustainable Cities-EcoSmartCities”.
In the project DESCO 3 local self-government unit participate, aka. Town Ludbreg as leading beneficiary, while Letenye and Prelog participate as beneficiaries. Desco project refers to the establishment of cross-border cooperation, strengthening the capacities of local Municipalities and the creation of a strategic basis for encouraging and increasing the number of cross-border initiatives in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises, civil society and public authorities.
The DESCO project will develop a new e-platform that will include a base for various stakeholders, and through the project it will become a basis for different methodologies for development of entrepreneurship, smart cities, information and communication technologies, sustainable development and ways how to develop project ideas, create an application form and implement joint projects. In short, it is a project in which the system of linking and networking of all stakeholders in the cross-border area will be developed in order to increase the number of planned and implemented cross-border initiatives. The total value of the project is 263.657,80 €, while the share of Town Ludbreg is 115.520,60 €.
The „EcoSmartCities“ project refers to the establishment of a modern waste management system that includes equipment for underground containers associated with advanced waste management software by mobile applications, thereby achieving time efficiency, reducing transportation costs and ensuring efficient human resource management. Project activities are aimed at strengthening the capacity of all stakeholders involved in waste management system and at drawing up plans and manuals that will provide key stakeholders with effective waste management guidelines in line with the latest European trends. Town Ludbreg is a leading partner, while beneficiary of the project is Zalaegerszeg County. The total value of the project is 204.943,00 €, while the share of the Town Ludbreg is 108.193,00 €.
